From the Desk of the Principal

I am filled with immense pleasure to convey, as the Principal of G.C. Jain Commerce College, Chaibasa, that our institution, though modest in size, radiates glory as it imparts commerce education under the esteemed umbrella of Kolhan University, nestled in a rustic locale where students from distant rural regions and neighboring states converge to pursue their studies. The fusion of adept students, erudite faculty, and diligent support staff has been instrumental in elevating the educational standing of our esteemed college.

Ever zealous to embrace novel opportunities, our institution continually endeavors to cater to the needs of its stakeholders, particularly the students, who not only excel academically but also actively engage in a myriad of extracurricular pursuits such as competitions, sports, social and cultural endeavors, as well as awareness and extension programs. Their insatiable thirst for knowledge is palpable, and their disciplined demeanor garners recognition from peers and institutions alike.

Proudly, our college has been a nurturing ground for numerous national and international sports achievers in disciplines like Badminton, Archery, and Yoga. In 1972, the college embarked on its humble journey, sparked by the noble vision of the late Mr. Gyan Chand Jain, a visionary ahead of his time. With a fervent desire to bestow the gift of higher education upon the youth, he generously bequeathed his precious land, laying the cornerstone for this esteemed institution in Chaibasa. Now, 52 years have gracefully passed since the inception of this venerable establishment, yet it steadfastly upholds the timeless belief that education stands as an unrivaled conduit for nurturing the potential and vigor of the young.
